BROTHER JACK McDUFF QUARTET - LIVE! (1964)
Apologies for the lack of posts recently, been a bit busy with other another project (more of that later) but to keep things ticking over here's fantastic footage of the Brother Jack McDuff Quartet giving it to some French kids in '64.
Brother Jack McDuff - organ; George Benson - guitar; Red Holloway - tenor; Joe Dukes - drums.

Saw Brother Jack in the Twin Cities back in the late 90's when he was living there and he was incredible. By then he was calling himself "Captain Jack McDuff". I asked him why the name change and he said "All my life I been a brother now I'm the Captain" and gave me a wink and said "I gave myself a little promotion". Fantastic footage!
