Not for nothing do I weep uncontrollably when I hear Loudon Wainwright bare his soul or my son play a subtle guitar lick. Not for nothing do I still feel genuinely excited when I hear the opening siren to Block Buster. And not for nothing do I still jump on the nearest bar stool whenever I hear The Who's Won't Get Fooled Again on a pub jukebox.

Like you, I bought into this way of life a long time ago. I've paid my dues. I've bought records in the past instead of eating; which is why I have no qualms, these days, about getting my music for nothing.

If you read the back issues of my blog I try and capture what music has meant to me in the past and the part it plays in my life now. It may appear random and, to the outsider, I grant you, it has a scattergun feel to it, but that's how it is and I make no apologies for it.

John Meddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10547777949324509522noreply@blogger.com
